Juice Fasting To Detoxify Your Body

Our body has so many toxins due to the processed foods we eat and the polluted air we breathe in. Our body tries to eliminate toxins, but it becomes stressed due to the overload. This causes symptoms like chronic headaches and skin allergies.

What can we do to help our ailing body? Juice fasting is a safe and great way to detox. Many studies have been done on the beneficial effects of juice fasting. We can increase our lifespan, treat bio chemical imbalances, reduce our cholesterol levels, treat allergies, acne, etc.

In juice fasting, by giving the body a rest from food and digestion, the immune system can focus on elimination of toxins, with the aid of the organs of elimination (liver, pancreas, gall bladder, kidneys, intestines, skin, etc.). When you fast for 3 days or longer, your body begins to burn off and digest its own tissues through autolysis. It will first target the diseased, damaged, aged, or dead tissues. The stomach will shrink and become less acidic. As your body eliminates toxins, symptoms like acne breakouts, fatigue, and headaches will appear. The symptoms will go away and then you’ll feel healthier.

You can juice almost any fruit and vegetables that you can eat raw. Vegetables that are good for juicing include tomatoes, cucumbers, celery and carrots.

A combination of fruits and veggies also tastes good. For instance, apple and carrot juice is really good. Or you could try apple, celery, and tomato juice.

For vegetable and fruit skins, peel them off especially if you suspect that they have been sprayed. Using organic fruits and vegetables is even better. Use filtered or distilled water to rinse.

How To Juice It’s best to dilute the juice 50/50 with water, and especially if you use only fruits and the juice is so sweet. Use distilled water, if possible, for dilution.

Don’t drink freshly prepared juice from a supermarket. Any juice in a carton, can or bottle has been heat treated for preservation.

Your juice has to be freshly prepared! Be aware that the longer the juice stays out, the less fresh the raw food enzymes it will have. So you should have a juicer or find a store that prepares juice correctly.
